I Just Don’t Like the Sound of NO! The Book
• Book Summary – This book tells the story of a young boy who is frequently told that he cannot have or do
something that he likes. The book gives various examples of how and when this happens to the main character, and highlights his resulSng disappointment and frustraSon. Examples include being told “No” at home with parents and at school with his teacher. He learns how to accept not receiving his desired response and also how to disagree in an agreeable way. The book is suggested for readers K-‐6.
