• OBJECTIVES

•To motivate the community to learn and to speak English.

•To provide alternative after school activities.

HOW DOES THE PROJECT WORK?

•Students from 11th grade receive training and then go and

help teachers from elementary schools.

•Student-teachers receive material from the school (one

notebook).

•Student teachers offer classes for elementary students.

WHAT DOES THE TEACHER DO?

• To control and maintain the discipline in the group.

• Look for the students

• Teach

• Practice

•Organize

• Establish the rulers from the beginnig

•Most of the class in English

•Total Physical Response (TPR)

RESULTS

• 11th graders’ motivation has been increased.

• Elementary teachers feel support when they have to teach English.

• A feeling of cooperation and integration has developed along the school.

• Ther are still minor mistakes in pronunciation and other language aspects, but

in overall, improved performance is eveidence.

• Elementary students are actually learning some English before they get to

high school.
