Many of graduates currently work at local companies or continue study in associate degree program
Independent External Evaluation Among Graduates:
93% of BMTC graduates were either somewhat or very satisfied with the program.
84% of BMTC graduates reported that their program expectations were met.
47% of BMTC graduates currently employed in biotechnology industry felt the program helped them get their job or promotion.
93% of BMTC graduates said they would recommend the BMTC program to friend and colleagues interested in this area of work.
64% of BMTC graduates planned to further education beyond the BMTC program.
Independent External Evaluation Among Industry Partners:
100% of the industry partners were either satisfied (57%) or highly satisfied (43%) with the collaborative process of the program development at Ivy Tech.
100% of the industry partners felt either very (38%) or somewhat (62%) satisfied that the program was a beneficial use of their time.
100% of the survey respondents mentioned the program graduates will either be somewhat (88%) or very much (12%) an asset to their company.
Lessons Learned: A short introductory training for entry level
manufacturing jobs. Students could explore their interests and options in
the field and prepare for the jobs. Excellent recruiting tool for the companies and our
degree program Great opportunity to solidify our relationship with a
local workforce development office and industry Better tracking mechanism is necessary
