Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the King's horses and all the King's men,
Just couldn't put Humpty together again.

• Well-being• Illness• Lesion• Pathological / Pathology• Disease• Injury• Health
12
• Well-being / Illness – are experiential states represented on the vertical axis.
13
• Lesions – can be understood as bodily configurations which increase organismal entropy.
14
• Pathological Lesions – are lesions that are associated with a sense of suffering.
15
• Non-Pathological Lesions – are lesions that are not associated with a sense of suffering.
16
• A Non-Pathological Lesion may also be a Pre-Pathological Lesion.
17
• In order to call something a disease there must be two things involved:
– a pathological lesion and
– an experience of illness (or worse)
18
• An injury can have the same effects as a disease, but we may not choose to call it a disease as such.
