1. How to bleach wash your ends. There are many different
reasons youd need to do this. The other names you may hear from
professional hair stylist are color cleanse color balancing
decolorizing shampoo lightening shampoo bleach shampoo many
different names all with the same intention and results. If your
hair is too dark on the ends, flat, dull, browning out, even green.
This task will save you tons of money and time at home.
2. When talking about haircolor you must know there is only 2
ways you can remove hair dye. Hair Dye will NOT remove hair dye.
You can use a color remover (if you want to start all over, best
choice) or hair bleach (most salons will stick to this trick) For
this specific post were talking about hair bleach. Bleaching hair
is a chemical process involving the diffusion of the natural hair
color or artificial haircolor pigment from hair.
3. You will very few items. A plastic bowl and brush, hair
bleach, 10 volume peroxide (use hair designed peroxide) and cheap
shampoo. Youll also want gloves, a better shampoo and deep
conditioner.
4. Before you mix anything youll want to pigtail your hair,
separating the ends youre trying to lighten. When bleach washing
your ends you want to avoid getting this bleach wash formula on
anything you dont want lightened. Weve have found that this is the
most effective way to do so. If your mid lengths are also dark
(more so the just the ends) try 4 pigtails in the section technique
we explain in the prep to dye video.
5. Now its time to mix your ingredients! Using a measuring unit
will help make sure everything is perfectly mix. We used
tablespoons because this was inspired by our friend Danya who has
slightly shorter than shoulder length hair. The mix ratio is
1:1:1
6. After mixing together your ingredients make sure everything
is smooth. No need to wet your hair. If you feel your hair is a
little damaged, please feel free to dampen your hair. Youll apply
the bleach wash formula to those pigtails keeping it off your other
hair, then scrub. Scrubbing causes friction and friction always
wins. Youll do this for 5 minutes. 5 minutes at a time ONLY! If you
feel this didnt lighten enough follow the rest of the steps and
start it over.
7. Shampoo using your regular shampoo and deep condition. Youll
want to dry your hair before you dye. Most of the time the color
comes up just enough that you wont need to pull a dye through. If
you are dyeing again make sure you are ALWAYS ONLY using a
Demi-Permanent, Semi-Permanent or Temporary on those ends.
