2. Be informed about TBA’s mission, service, policies and programs.

3. Attend all Board meetings and functions.

4. Review agenda and supporting materials prior to meetings.

5. Offer to take on special assignments when asked.

6. Keep up-to-date on developments and trends in the banking and financial services industry.

7. Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality standards.

2.Focus on direction setting, operational oversight, policy setting and strategic thinking.

3.Cultivate relationships with state and federal legislators in your district to enhance TBA’s legislative effectiveness through grassroots involvement of bankers.

4.Make a personal contribution to TBA BankPac, conduct a PAC campaign in your bank and urge the bankers in your district to do likewise.

5.Seek to expand association membership by pursuing banks and savings institutions that are not members.
