Who is Bull Durham?

Bull Durham is a 1988 American comedy sports film. It is partly based upon the minor league experiences of writer/director Ron Shelton and depicts the players and fans of the Durham Bulls, a minor league baseball team in Durham, North Carolina.

In the movie Bull Durham Kevin Costner’s character is asked what he believes in.

His answer provides us with a poetic format. By following the formula, tell what you

believe in.

I believe in ability to choosethe desire to losethe thought and the mindand in the heart most kind.

But our fate isn’t decidedAnd no story is one-sided

And I believe one day hate will cease.

I believe in the power of prayer,the importance of education,the strength in numbers,the cruelness that occurs on social media networks,the effects music can have on people.

But how some people believe they are better than others is downright ridiculous.

I believe in the influence teenagers can have on older generations,I believe in treating others how you want to be treated,I believe in the importance of family and friendship.

And I believe in my experiences that everything happens for a reason, whether we know the reason now or we learn it later.

I believe in the scream of a tortured electric guitar,

the pounding of massive drums,the connection with an audience,the evil that exists in pop music,the effectiveness of hard work,

dedication, skill and cheap whiskey

But the belief that you don't have to strive hard for your goals is just plain

outrageous.

I believe in the honesty of a guitar solo I believe that music is a gift from God,

I believe in Van Halen,Undisputed, Undefeated, Champions of

the Rock and Roll World.

And I believe that one day they shall tour Australia once more…and I will be

there!
