over a whole area, killing all the other plants. If you have an invasive plant in your yard, it will grow and spread all over your neighborhood.

• An example of one is the Yellow Starthistle (the one in the background) which is also poisonous to horses.

How can you help?

• Help saving California native plants is easy. All you have to do is to grow some at your house, at your friend’s house, even at the white house! (if you can)

• You can also weed your house to get rid of those invasive plants.

• California Native plants are important because they make California what it is, they makes it unique, and they make our state even more beautiful.
