Santa Maria di Loreto is a 16th century church in Rome, located just across the street from the Trajan's Column, near the giant Monument of Vittorio Emanuele II.

Colonna Traiana, Roma

Piazza Colonna is a piazza at the center of theRione of Colonna in the historic heart of Rome,Italy. It is named for the marble Column of Marcus Aurelius which has stood there since 193 CE. The bronze statue of Saint Paul that crowns the column was placed in 1589, by order of Pope Sixtus V. The Roman Via Lata (now the Via del Corso) runs through the piazza's eastern end, from south to north.

The Palazzetto dello sport was built for the 1960 Summer Olympics. This building was designed by Pier Luigi Nervi and was opened in 1957. It hosted boxing among other sports during the Olympic Games. Presently the "Palazzetto dello Sport" hosts the most important volley matches of "M.Roma Volley", which is the volleyball team of Rome.

Stadio FlaminioLocated on the Foro Italico, is the major stadium of Rome, Italy. It is the home of the Italian national football team, as well as of both local teams A.S. Roma and S.S. Lazio. It was built in 1936 and has a capacity of 72,698. It was the site of the 1960 Summer Olympics, but has also served as the location of the 1987 World Athletics Championships and the 1990 FIFA World Cup. It will also be hosting the UEFA Champions LeagueFinal in 2009.

It occupies a "unique position" as one of the holiest sites and as "the greatest of all churches of Christendom".In Catholic tradition, it is the burial site of its namesake Saint Peter, who was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and, according to tradition, was the first Bishop of Antioch, and later first Bishop of Rome and therefore first in the line of the papal succession
