As I told you this morning it would be very simple for you to place a CBL WIKI link right onto the directory for your UPC code. This way it will create an easy portal to everything students and yourself have been doing in CBL. Also on the topic of WISE. I believe that the WISE organization as well as CBL are very similar in the fact that It is what you make of it. If a student is willing to put in the work they could do anything they want in CBL. . . . Honestly I believe that CBL could be very similar to WISE if students wanted to put the work in. The only con to the WISE program is that it is only for seniors. CBL is for all students and this gives students more than one year to create a relationship with or knowledge of a service.

Over the last few days I have been helping the Tech Guys with a problem on a few laptops in Ms. Collins room. I re imaged them yesterday and they should be fixed and ready to go today . . . I have been with the Tech Guys lately. Yesterday they had me install books on the iPads for the 10th graders. I have to do my English today because I'm missing class for baseball.

The fox that I had started to do is finally finished. I just managed to put the finishing touches on it with the paint and some extra habitat features to make it look even better. . . . Taxidermy, big or small we mount them all!

Yes, it was a very good game and very easily could've gone our way, but just didn't. We were seconds from the championship. In CBL as of lately I have been doing lots of stuff. Some days I go in and play kickball or basketball with the middle school students. Other days I go to the senior table and do work, such as applying to college.

The last few weeks have been hectic up at Jim’s! Spring is here; and people are trying to get their summer equipment in and serviced, so everything runs well and does what they want to be done. I’ve been cleaning and fixing stuff, left and right, and it’s good. It keeps us busy, and the money is rolling in like crazy.

When the Germans took control over the Roman Empire they tried integrating their laws into those of the Romans. This worked to some extent but the German kings soon realized that, if they were to have their laws last, they would need them written down. They had the priests write down the laws, which often made them tainted with the opinions of the priests, holding within them the secular Roman law and the laws of the primary church.

I sold a 250r four wheeler. Someone also called and wanted to trade a kayak for a srx hood. We took the trade because Zach’s sister wanted one. . . . I have put some new stuff up on the web site to sell. I went through some boxes to see what else I have to do. I also cleaned the place up a little bit. I sold some plastic for a Can-Am and some rims for a four wheeler.

Oh, I didn't know you watched. Yes I actually enjoyed it very much. At first I didn't think I would be able to do it, and I kind of didn't want to. I am glad now that I got the chance to experience and be a part of the Shakespeare work. I definitely learned a lot from it and had a lot of fun. A lot of the lines were repeated continuously in my head over the period of days; I couldn't get them out. I had done the scenes four times that day . . . It was definitely a good experience. I am glad I was able to participate in this production.

Lately Justine and I have been going to Brownway and we have built a very strong relationship with Conrad. We play cards with up him and he often tells us stories about his life.he usually is waiting for us at the door because he gets so excited to see us. He calls us "his girls" brent even said he's gotten very used to us and will be very sad when we go off to college. We often play with Oliver too. He's nice but was in the hospital last time so hopefully he's okay now.

Robert Burns’s “A Red, Red Rose” is my poem. I have been wire tying, pulling spouts, and walking lines. Some of the sap isn't milky yet, so we are pulling the bushes that went milky. We are keeping the vacuum tight in the bushes, so that we can still boil the sap out of them. To pull spouts you grab the spout with your dikes and pry against the tree, letting all of the sap drain into the mainline; then you plug it on the tree.

This week Bib [Zach] and I washed tanks and cut wood. One day we picked stones along Route 108. Bib picked them and I drove beside him with the dump cart, as he threw them in.

We went to the library, sang a song, and listened to a Story Rabbit! It was so funny to see the kids trying to figure out if it was a rabbit or a duck. Dominick would not sit still . . . Today they played a game on the iPads....they were tracing numbers and they thought it was fun!!!

On Friday I fixed a skidder. The skidder had a couple of problems: one was that it wasn't getting any fuel and the second was that the blade on the front wouldn't go up or down . . . Over vacation I worked for my father down in Elmore VT logging. I ran the grapple skidder and the cable skidder. I also learned how to run a slasher. That's the machine that takes trees and de-limbs them and then cuts them to length.

I have spent more time during CBL at the sugar house to get more done, and this helps me spend less time working after school. I'm checking in to gather and clean the front pans. Also, I might change my poem to “The Tyger” by William Blake. I think that's the poet.

This week has been a very unusual week. I have only been to Hull’s once and that is because of making changes to my next year’s schedule and also the job fair. When I met with my guidance counselor on Wednesday, we talked about SATs and the W.I.S.E. program. I hope I get into the program . . . I think it would be a way to be very creative and get a grade for doing something that interests me.

Lately I have been spending a lot of time at the copy machine. More than once I have printed off an unnecessary amount of paper, and I think I may have single handedly killed a dozen trees -- and probably cost the school hundreds. But I guess that isn't the point of CBL. It's all about learning, even if there are bumps in the road, including not getting papers to my mentor, Mr. Paquette, in time, especially when he has class and just realizes at the start that I experienced a large learning curve at the printer and missed the memo on “double sided.”

This week I have been at the elementary school working with the kids. Mrs.Farr was absent most of the time, so i have seen very little of her. When she is not there I am still using her office and meeting with the children I have continued to form relationships with. Today there was a fire drill while I was there meeting with a child. The secretary at the school came in and gave me a warning so that i could take the child outside in advance. She is a sensitive girl and got a little upset from the drill. I talked her through the whole thing, and we even discussed it after the incident. She was feeling much better and we finished doing a puzzle before bringing her back to class.

Today I had to move heifers and to chop the horns off them. It was very messy and hopefully we are not doing that again tomorrow. . . . Yesterday I was in the barn and had to clean all the calf pens; then Stewart and I went to the woods and put up tubes and lines for sugaring.

Today I’ll most likely be cutting and splitting more firewood. We are still getting sap and boiling. . . . I read the Kubla Khan by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. I relate to this poem because it makes me think about being in the woods. . . . I'll be stacking firewood. We just got a wood furnace this past winter so we burn a lot more wood.

Yesterday, I went around the school to different people to install the Absolute software on their iPads. These people did not have the software installed when the iPads were collected by all of the teachers. During the middle of this project, the fire drill happened. This means, I did not get all the way through the list, but CJ is working on it too. Note: There were over 130 tornados on Saturday in the Midwest. I know there were a couple of EF4 tornados. I don't think there were any EF5 tornados. There were a few record highs around the region yesterday. The high at my house was 85.5, which is around 30 degrees above normal!

The first thing I did when I got there, I asked if Kelee was having a good day. She said "yes." She gave me the P.O. key to go get the mail. Along the way my cousin Mikie stopped and talked with me for a minute. I returned to the Flying Disc. Kelee gave me a credit card to pick up 2 gallons of 2% milk at Uncle Floyd's (Jollies). Back with Kelee again, she made me a strawberry banana smoothie. Now I'm going down to the library to read a chapter of Ryan Smithson's Ghosts of War. It's getting pretty good!

Checking in. Lately at Brownway we have been playing cards with Conrad and Oliver. Oliver went to the hospital this week because he has a hernia. Charlotte and I are going to bake Conrad and Oliver meme brownies this weekend to bring next week. I love going there. It's going to be difficult when I go to college because I've become so close to Conrad.

Yesterday with Ben we came up with a lot of ideas for projects such as researching a famous photographer and how he or she became successful, slide show of my favorite photographers’ pictures and explain why, or take pictures like my favorite photographer. There were more, but we narrowed them down to these three. We also discussed about me taking pictures part-time starting next year for The Messenger once I start at Lyndon College, which would be fun and help me gain more skills -- and make money!

I’m here today. I read the poem “The Mechanic” by Diane Wakoski. I like it a lot, because I can relate to the part about the mechanic when he’s changing the oil and says that it’s in his brain. My favorite joke is the one about the magician, because through my internship I do a lot of chain saw work where you have to cut a chunk of wood in two, so you can split it and sell it as firewood for people to burn at their houses.

During CBL on Tuesday we went to the woods and pulled more spouts. Robert, one of the people that works for Greg, and I got to see three coyotes walking about a hundred yards from us. We told Sean's dog Rider to go get them. He chased the coyotes for about ten feet, then came running right back to us. On Wednesday we didn't go to the woods, but we did go to the sugar house, where we cut a bunch of wood. We used the Ranger to stack the wood in the back, then unloaded it in the shed and re-stacked there.

Yes. I am the author of my own graphic art projects. I design things like signs, and I have clients that I do work for. I did a logo for the forestry class for their sugaring. Then I did signs for DVC to be put in schools to advertise the program of DVC.

The reason why I haven't been commenting and writing what I've been doing is because of sugaring. I've been busy. We’re up to 72 barrels. Usually we make 20, so I’m worried that It might end because the weather’s going to be in the 70 s next week without freezing. . . . The last time I went over to Bates I stacked thirty five bags of sawdust. . . . They have had me attacking sawdust for the last few weeks. Usually I can stack anywhere from one to three pallets of sawdust. It depends how many packs they put on a pallet. Usually it is twenty five to thirty five. . . . But other than the past couple weeks . . . I've been working in the warehouse stocking grain, rotating grain, and putting prices on dog food.

Brenda had her surgery on Friday and is doing well . . . We are coming to an end here with school, and I hope that even after school is finished, I will still find the time to stop in and interact with everyone at some point. Easter is such a bright holiday! This year it is two days before my birthday, making it all the more brighter and happier... This past weekend, I had the opportunity to bring the baby simulator home for child development. It was a great experience. I feel that working with the kids at the daycare has helped me to know how I should go about handling things.
