Changes in Religion

Martin Luther-rejected many of the Catholic Churches practices. If they were not in the bible they were not necessary in religion.

Believed faith rather than good deeds got you into heaven.

Protestant Reformation- a great religious and historical movement in which people began their own Christian churches.

John Calvin- French religious thinker who believed God had already chosen those who would be saved

King Henry VIII-began the church of England and denounced the authority of the Pope appointing himself the head of the Church of England
