Varied in-class activities and hands-on, practical experiences enable you to create nurturing environments for children. These courses will prepare you to work professionally in a variety of community child care settings. All students entering the ECE program must first take an English assessment. Please call 416-289-5300 or visit centennialcollege.ca/assessment for information and to book your assessment online.You must be at an ENGL-160 or ENGL-161 level to be a successful applicant to this program. Due to the nature of ECE programs, students must provide a recent criminal reference check prior to each field practicum and required courses. A criminal record or charges pending before the courts in regard to crimes against vulnerable populations may determine eligibility for courses and completion of the program. Please note: These programs require assignments and practicums, in full-time weekday childcare settings.
