Expeditions 1-4 and later expeditions

• 1: On Aug. 3, 1492, sailed from Palos, Spain .

• 2: Sailed from Cádiz in Oct 1493. Then sailed off in summer in 1494 to explore southern coast of Cuba in North America continent.

• 3: Reached mainland (Venezuela).

• 4: Left Cadiz May 9, 1502. 4 ships. Arrived Hispaniola on June 29. 1502. Had shipwreck in Eastern Coast of Central America.

• Later: Returned in 1493 to discover La Navidad destroyed. Made 2 more voyages. Died in 1506.
