I was given a brown paper envelope, policy envelope in a size of 4’’x9’’, from

my partner. It contains an unspecified tool that was assigned by the lecturer to

be discovered. As requested, I hold the envelope under my desk and reach

my hand into it, took out the tool, and unhand the envelope to the floor. It is

very light object. Based on my random access memory, I know that I’m

holding anaerosol can at the moment that my fingerprint land on it. ‘’It is

easy’’, I laughed to myself as I thought it must be a spray bottle. I am relief at

the moment; because I was worried that my partner would bring some

unfamiliar object that I might have a tough time to dealing with.

Unfortunately, there arestill some lingering doubts in my mind. I must handle

that tool with caution for it might be a nightmare when it turns out to be a

spray can paint without its lid. I am certain that I won’t appreciate for the joke

from my partner after noticing myself in whatever colors it has. I started with

the investigation through touch using my both hand. It has two surfaces on it:

rough top and smooth bottom. I can hold it with one hand and I found that it

has a concave bottom. As I sense toward the top of the can I notice there is a

non-metal lid on it. I’m grateful that it covered with that rough surface lid.

Although it has a lid I was stunned afterward, as I learned that no matter how

hard I attempt to force itto rotate or lift, the lid cannot be open or loose. On

that account, it must not be a spray paint and I decided to sense the top using

my index finger to find if there is detail I’ve missed. Surprisingly, it has a lot of

holes on the top. There are some small holes in circle and rectangular forming

a circle surrounding a big circular hole. I doubt it and then put my index finger

into that hole, but I cannot reach in, so I put my pinky finger in yet I cannot find

what is it made for. After the same attempt for a few times, I went distress as

there nothing else for me to discover.

I’m drowned into serious concern that it is all I can find from the aerosol

can. After spending some moment to think is there other detail yet to be

uncovered. I started to shake the aerosol can, as I know if it is empty or filled.

Despite that I have shake it very hard there are neither sound nor collision

coming from inside, which indicate that the can is empty and no metal ball. If

my memory set me right, most of the aerosol can would have a small metal

ball inside which act as a disturbance to soften the particle inside. Soon I

notice that there’s no change in thermal index. Therefore, I make a hypothesis

that it must be an empty aerosol can. Most of the aerosol can undergo

enthalpy change as the particles inside the fixed volume were put under

pressure by shaking it, which a change of temperature would be noticeable.

Then I found the can are odorless as there’s nothing I can do about it, but I

won’t taste the aerosol can as I refuse to risk my health for this project.

Finally, the fifteen-minute examination time was over. I open my eyes in

a flash and I saw a pure white aerosol can with a ‘WARTNER’ print return on

it. I found a expiry date printed on the bottom of the can. Later on, I saw a line

wart & verruca remover, which smashes all my doubt away. It is an aerosol

can function for medical aid. Besides, the top of the can must be enclosed as

it can freeze anybody who is in attempt to open it up just like what I did in the

previous discovery. Also, I learn what is it in the big hole on top of the can for.

It was designed to insert the applicator holder to freeze a foam applicator. My

partner told me that it is filled so I return it to him.

In the end of this discovery session, I realized that there are things that cannot

be judge by your mere assumption, which might lead you to jump into

conclusion. It will confuse your judgment and making the wrong

decision.Sometime it is not what you think it is.
