A Typical Week

Page 4: Classes

A typical weekend

The snowball effect• You blow off your

work for one day because you are tired or having a bad day

• Instead of going away it moves to the next day

• The next day two hours of Math seems too overwhelming so you don’t do it

• At the end of the week you are stuck with 6 hours of Math

ImprovingWhen I first got started, I'd end up snowballing 4-6 hours of work each week for Saturday and Sunday. I have improved at keeping up with work, but most weekends I still have some roll over work

Solving a Quadratic Equation

Who remembers high school Algebra

Hint: You can solve by factoring, or by using the quadratic formula, there will be 2 answers

A X2

1

B X

C

Page 16: Classes

Steps

▪ Find factors of a*c that sum to b

▪ I.e. factors of 1*6 that add to 5 Answer(2 and 3) ( 2 *3 = 6 ) (2 + 3 = 5)

▪ Replace B with the two factors 5x becomes 2X + 3X

▪ (X2 + 2X) + (3X + 6) = 0

▪ Remove a common factor form each group

▪ X ( X + 2) + 3 (X + 2) = 0

▪ Rewrite

▪ (X + 3)(x + 2)

▪ Set each one equal to 0

▪ X+3 = 0 x+2 = 0

▪ Solve for x

▪ X = {-3,-2}

App makeing fail

Unfortunate due to fate and mac computers my app design project failed

Took Udacity course on app making with swift, I didn't like teaching style

Built some of a app in x-code

Computer crashed, and deleted work

Other computer hard drive failed

Fate decreed I take a break from this project

Next year I will try to learn to make apps again
