Here at BMCMost of us enjoy our jobs and find great fulfillment from interacting with our students.

However, we all have bad days and sometimes when students are having a bad day they can be particularly challenging to interact with in a positive manner.

So, how can we best:encourage them to do what we want them to dodemonstrate professionalism to themhold them accountable for their behavior in those challenging situations

A- remind the class about big assignments/ exams coming up as they try to sneak out the doorB- call them out by name for leaving early/ poke holes in their excuse in front of the class to make an example of themC- catch them in the hallway and discuss what assignments are due and what requirements are for attendance/ passing the courseD- call/ email them later to follow up on what they missedE- sip your coffee and prepare a pop quiz for the remaining students
