Front cover: The front cover plays a major role in persuading the audience to but the magazine. It is considered as the most important page of a magazine as it sets an impression on the audience.

Master head: Usually located across the top of the magazine , is the magazines name. It is usually written in a large bold font to capture the audiences attention. Each magazine has a differently styled masthead to make it recognizable to their audience.

Main image: The main image usually features a well known music artist/ band in which the cover line is about. The image is usually a close up of the artist's face; they are made to look towards the viewpoint of the reader, making it look as if they artist is engaging eye contact with them. Main cover line: This features the main article in the magazine. This is the main selling point of the magazine as it contains the most exclusive article. Colour scheme: Magazine front covers usually have s set colour scheme that is kept consistent throughout the whole front over. Sell lines: they are used to spark the audiences attention on the magazine. It gives insight on they articles and other types of content in the magazine.

Contents page: This is the second page of a magazine. It provides information on what is included in the magazine and the page numbers you will find them on. The layout of the page is simple and clear, so that the readers don't get confused.

Page numbers: This is a clear indication of where to go in order to view exclusive articles.

Images: these are usually images that are related to the article/pages included in the magazine. It adds a element of excitement to the page as the readers are given an image to look at.

Features: this is the main subheading section of a particular list of contents. They are clearly separated into specific sections, so that the readers don't get confused as things are much easier to find.

Title: This indicates what page of the magazine this is, so that the readers know where to turn to when they are looking for a specific page. The title is usually in the same colour as the master head on the front cover, establishing a consistent colour scheme.

Double page spreads: This usually contains a feature article of the magazine which has been advertised on the front cover through the main cover line. The article on this page is usually about one artist/band.

Main image: This features the artist/band the article on the page is about. The image is usually similar to the image on the front cover. It is mainly one large image, however other magazines can use a range of images in which the model maintains a different pose.

Pull quote: This is a section quote from an article or interview on a artist/band. Having seen this, the reader would want to find out more on what the article/interview is about. It is usually brightly coloured so it is easily seen by the readers.

Article: This is the article that takes up both pages written in columns/paragraphs clearly. It is more likely to be an interview with a feature band or artist. However, it can also be a full written article on a recent tour, concert or recent news on the artists.

Title: this introduces the article, telling the readers what the article is about. Most importantly it links everything on the page together; summing it up.
