WHY COLLEGE
Explore!
Colleges and universities have hundreds of courses to choose from. You can take classes like The Birth and Death of Stars, Evolution of Human Sexuality, History of Western Art, Sports Medicine, Introduction to Hospitality Management, and so much more.
Expand your earning potential!
Not only do people with a college degree have a greater variety of careers to choose from, they also make about twice as much money as high school graduates.
Become independent and
make more of your own choices! For many people, the college years are
a time of developing independence. You'll have a lot more control over your college experience than your high school experience: You'll choose more of your classes, choose a major, decide how and when to study, and begin to take on more responsibility in general. You may even move out of your family home for the first time. These are exciting changes - and great practice for life after college!
Develop leadership skills through
activities! College groups range from academic
clubs, to sporting groups, to political and social organizations.
