Place of Study- National Centre for Disease Control (N.C.D.C.) ,
New Delhi on 9/oct./2014.
Teacher accompanied are Dr Ratnesh ,Dr Rashmi, Dr. Pati.
Activities:
We reached the N.C.D.C. by bus around 10 am.
Here we go to the Seminar Hall.
Our instructor was Radhekhyam Korram who told us about the
preliminary details about the N.C.D.C. and its establishments.
In seminar hall we saw the Powerpoint presentation about the
history and origin of N.C.D.C.
The Powerpoint presentation was explained by the Head of Dept.
of Zoonosis.
After attending the short seminar we go to the N.C.D.C. library.
N.C.D.C. Library.
In library we see the different books related to the study
and research on epidemic diseses.
They also give us some of the Books and Journals.
After Visiting the library we go to the Water Testing Laboratory, but on
the way we see the artificial tanks of GAMBOZIA FISHES.
Water Quality Testing Lab:
Here we see :
1. Testing with pH paper.
2. Bio-safety Cabinet.
3. Sample Collection Room.
4. Testing with H2S Strip.

Sero Diagnostic Lab:
We came to the Sero Diagnostic Lab.
Here the testing on the samples of blood, collected from
the different peoples are going on.
So we gather the information about the different methods
of testing AIDS.
1. E.L.I.S.A.
2. Rapid Test.
3. Western Blot Test.
Conclusion:
We got the knowledge of different Epidemic Diseases, Water
Borne Diseases, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and most impotantly
their Preventing Measures and Control taken by the N.C.D.C. to
maintain the good healhy life.

Sewage Treatment Plant

Aim : To gain knowledge about the process of sewage treatment.
Place of Study
Our place of study was Sewage Treatment Plant Noida, Sec
54. on 21st Oct. 2014.
Teacher accompanied are Dr Ratnesh ,Dr Rashmi, Dr Pati.
Activities:
We reach the Sewage Treatment Plant by bus around 10am.
We first go to the Admin Block.
Here we see the documentary on the Sewage Plant and gain
knowledge about its working and efficiency.
Total capacity id 254 MLD (million liter per day).
SBR technology is used in this pump house. It is of 3 hrs.
1.5hr-aeration 45m.-settling 45m.-decanting
Receiving Chamber:
The sludge is received from the city in the pump room.
Then screening is done:
1. Coarse Screening.
2. Fine Screening.
Grid Chamber:
Grid chamber the floating particles and insoluble particles are
passing through classifiers and settled and throw into screw.
There remains water which is composed of organic and
inorganic matter.
SBR BEDS
Here the filling of the SBR beds is done.
After filling the aeration is done to promote the growth of
micro-organisms.
After the settlement the upper water is Decanted off
(after 45 minutes).
Chlorination Tank:
The decanted water comes in the chlorination tank and
chlorine is mixed at a steady rate. After mixing ,it will be ready to supplyfor irrigation purpose
etc.
Conclusion:
Our visit to Sewage Treatment Plant was very informative
and successful. Everybody got aware about the method of
treatment of sewage.

To celebrate a AIDS Day on 1st Dec to spread awareness about the
AIDS and its Prevention to maintain a Healthy Life.
PLACE OF STUDY
The program was performed on 1st Dec. 2014 at 11:00am - 2:00 pm at:
Bakson Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital.
Tibet market
Tughalpur village school.
ACTIVITIES
Awareness was spread to local area by making people
aware of AIDS.
A march was conducted through the village to spread
awareness among the villagers.
