Costumes for the protagonistsProtagonists (Lennon Ford, Liam Nixon, Daniel Creese.)As I am making all of these characters relatable to the audience, the clothes they are going to wear will be conventional to a normal teenagers clothes. I would like Lennon Ford, whom is my main protagonist, to wear a t-shirt as he is the only one staying at the house. I would like for him to wear a popular branded t-shirt like ‘Super Dry’ or ‘Tommy Hilfiger’ so that he is more relatable to the audience. Lennon will be providing this garment himself. For my other protagonists Liam and Daniel, I would like them to wear a big winter coat. This is to show that they are going out and will not be staying in the house. The branding of the coat does not matter as it is just there to show that they are leaving the location and leaving Lennon on his own. These garments will again be bought from the actor’s home.

The first piece of clothing is going to be casual blue jeans. These are conventional to many teenagers as they go with just about everything in the wardrobe. These do not have to be a specific brand as the brand of jeans cannot normally be seen from the outside. This clothing will be sourced from the actors own houses.

I am planning for Liam and Daniel again to be the only protagonists in the production to wear shoes as it again shows that they will be leaving the location. I have chosen that Lennon will not wear any shoes, so this will show that he has no plans on leaving the house, which makes him (the victim look unsuspecting). The only saying I have on the shoes that Liam and Daniel is that I don’t want them to be really bright as I want the audience to focus on the dialogue not the colour of someone’s shoes. These two are very likely to wear either Nike or Adidas branded shoes.

Props used by the protagonistsThere are two props which all of the protagonists in the trailer will use. These are going to be Chip bags and bear bottles. The bear bottles are going to be use in the first scene of the production when the friends are in the hot tub. The bear bottles are used for when they toast, this is to show the happy emotion going through the group. The chip bags will be used for the next scene which is all of the friends sitting at the table laughing. This again is to show the happiness of the group. The bear bottles will be sourced from the director’s house and the chip bags will be sourced from the chip shop in the village.

I will have Daniel using a phone, as that is very relatable to the youth, this will be from his own sources.

The main protagonist, Lennon will be using many different props which won’t be used by anyone else. The first one is the PlayStation, this is seen when Liam is giving Lennon the instructions about locking the back door. This is relatable to the teenage generation as many of them own their own games console and when they are concentrated on it, nothing will get their attention. To go with this, Lennon will also be wearing a PlayStation headset. This is going to be used to show that when Lennon goes on the PlayStation his full concentration is with the screen and is oblivious to the goings on around him. These two pieces of equipment will be sourced from my own house. The last prop that Ryan will use is going to be a knife. This is going to be picked up from the drawer in the montage of the trailer to show that he is trying to fight back. This again will be sourced from my own home.

Antagonists’ Costume and PropsAntagonist (Joseph Chapman)

The costumes that I have chosen for my antagonists to wear are seen as quite conventional from horror films point of view. I have decided to have him also wear casual garments i.e. Jeans, however I want these jeans to be in the colour black as that is the conventional clothing colour for the antagonist in a horror film. Just like the protagonists jeans, these do not have to be of a popular brand.

I want Joseph to wear a black coloured jacket in my production as this again is conventional on a horror film due to the colour of the garment. This again does not have to be of a certain brand as I don’t really want anyone to relate to this character. This jacket HAS to have hood as that is crucial to the hidden identity of the antagonist as I am not using a mask.

There is not a certain type of shoe which I would like Joseph to wear, as the audience is not really going to see the feet of the antagonist.

The mains prop that Joseph will use is going to be a knife. This is because the knife makes it look like the antagonist is looking to attack the protagonist so it is being uses to add fear into the antagonist, it is also to make the audience think that the protagonist is going to be killed. A knife is also a very conventional to see in the horror type of films.

Some of these props may not be used for the actual production, I will see what looks better when actually editing the production.
