Hazard: Hostile/Remote Environment

What could cause harm? As we are distance (5-10min drive) from any town, if there are any injuries we are fairly distant from any hospital/A&E

What is the likelihood of this happening? Not very likely that we will need A&E/hospital.

How much harm could be caused? It really depends on the situation.

How will this risk be managed? The risk of somebody being in pain for a long length of time is reduced by having a vehicle handy if we need to travel to A&E or a hospital, as well having basic first aid equipment on site with us.

Hazard: Night Operation

What could cause harm? Not being able to see your surroundings can cause accidents.

Page 2: Croft Circuit - Risk Assessment

What is the likelihood of this happening? The night is expected to fall at about 6:10. We are starting filming at 5, meaning it will probably dark when we pack the equipment away.

How much harm could be caused? This depends on how severe the accident is.

How will this risk be managed? Each member will be supplied with a torch meaning the risk is reduced and people's surroundings will be more visible.

Hazard: Noise

What could cause harm? The loud song playing from the speaker, as well as the drums, could lead to ringing ears.

What is the likelihood of this happening? Likely as the noise is unavoidable.

How much harm could be caused? Ears could be ringing, this can lead to headaches and ear damage.

How will this risk be managed? The risk will be eliminated as each member will wear ear protection/ear plugs.

Hazard: Roads

What could cause harm? We are filming on a racetrack so there could be moving vehicles.

What is the likelihood of this happening? None.

How much harm could be caused? Serious accidents.

How will this risk be managed? The risk is eliminated as Croft Circuit have informed us that the track will be closed to other users during our shoot.

Hazard: Weather

What could cause harm? If there is rain the camera/musical equipment could get wet.

What is the likelihood of this happening? Considering we are in England, pretty likely!

How much harm could be caused? There could be a loss to equipment and also slippery surfaces created due to the rain.

How will this risk be managed? We simply can’t afford to break camera gear, therefore if there are any signs of rain the shoot will be rescheduled to a later date, therefore the risk is eliminated.
