• If students are checked out of school before11:00 a.m., they are marked absent for the day

• At P.B.O.M., we celebrate the students who missed 0 or 1 day.

Portfolios

You may come into the classroom to view the portfolios at anytime

We will hold a Portfolio Night in May to share your child’s progress for the year.

All the students work is collected and put in portfolios.

Graded work is not sent home.

Curriculum Integration

Math and reading classes focus on science and social studies

standards.

Homework

Read at least one book every night.

Students must record the books they read on a home reading log. Parents must sign the reading log.

All 20 spaces should be filled out on the reading log.

Homework is given Monday – Friday. Some teachers assign homework nightly. Some assign a homework packet

Daily sheets need to be returned and signed everyday with the homework folders.

Reading logs are kept in the back of the folder

Accelerated Reader

Some students will read A.R. books then take a comprehension test and accumulate points which will let teachers know the students reading level, and students can use their points to shop at the A. R. store

100+ A.R. points earn a large trophy.
