DESCRIPTION

Dianova bases its action upon the belief that, with the appropriate aid, every individual may find within themselves the resources that will enable their personal development and ease the path towards social integration. Dianova is based upon the values of Commitment, Solidarity, Tolerance and Internationality. The project Parque Aventura Emotiva 3G “Education is the Best Prevention” hopes to provide answers and solutions to issues such as: crisis of values, escalating risk behaviours (which may or may not be related to substance abuse), which include teenage pregnancy, transmission of STDs, road deaths, the increase of juvenile delinquency, lack of quality time spent with family (parents focusing more and more on their careers), among others. An NGO with Special Consultative Status at the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations for the Youth, Education and Drug Addictions

What is Social Stock Exchange

Social Stock Exchange (Bolsa de Valores Sociais) is the replication of theenvironment of a stock exchange within Euronext Lisbon – Portugal’s stock Exchange. An original idea by Atitude who created the 1st SSE of the world for BOVESPA – Brazil’s stock exchange

This initiative presents a solution to the change of making our society more just andpromising. BVS Portugal opened for business on November 2nd 2009. It is the 2ndSocial Stock Exchange platform in the world and the 1st to be introduced in Europe

BVS emulates the setting of a traditional Stock Exchange. Its role is to facilitate theencounter between carefully chosen Social OrganisationsSocial Organisations and Social InvestorsSocial Investors whoare willing to support these Organisations by acquiring their “social stock”

By promoting the concepts of Social InvestmentSocial Investment and Social InvestorSocial Investor, BVS defendsthat the support of social organisations should no longer be seen as philanthropy orcharity, but as a form of investment that will generate a new type of profit: social profitsocial profit

For Social Investors

Every organisation and project listed on the BVS website are presented in a way that will allow the social investor to choose the project that better fits their conceptsof social investment. Projects can be sorted by theme, location, field of action & cost

Each social share has a fixed price of € 1. After completing a simple registrationprocess, investors may purchase a minimum of 10 social shares, costing € 10, andmay choose to build a social stock portfolio by investing in more than one project

Shares can be paid for via credit card or cheque. The supported organisation isresponsible for sending a donation receipt to the social investor.

All data and information submitted by social investors is confidential and safelyprotected, and BVS will never share this information with third-parties

Why to Invest

Listed project at BVS are wisely selected. The process of selection isconducted in order to ensure that projects are able to offer effective solutionsto emerging social problems, with specific results that will benefit local communities

BVS does not select projects just because based on their merit. BVS challenge is to identify and support projects that cut off or eliminate social vulnerability situations.100% of investment is transferred to the organisation.

For Social Organisations

In order to submit a project, social organisations must fill out a simple registrationform, available on the BVS website. This form will be evaluated by Atitude expertsin a process that should take no longer than 30 days.

In the proposal fulfils the requirements of BVS, a visit to the project is scheduled sothat Atitude’s technicians get to know the organisation, the community it worksfor, the challenges that need to be tackled and the expected social impact.

Once a project is listed on BVS www.bvs.org.pt, Euronext Lisbon and FoundingPartners are responsible for attracting social investors who will acquire the Project’ssocial stock

100% of the funs are transferred to the listed project, as no commissions or extra costs will be charged by BVS. Once all shares of a project are sold, a new projectby a different organisations is listed

More information

Currently (as of November 13th) there are 4 organisations listed on BVS: 3 have presented Entrepreneurship projects and 1 on Education: Dianova’s project.

Over 20 organisations have begun the registration process in the first week of operations.

Over 150 individuals & companies have become Social Ivestors also in the first weekof operations

BVS has received very encouraging press coverage, and is also causing a positivecommotion in Social Network platforms such as Facebook or Twitter
