Close up- only showing Rihanna’s face, this emphasises that she is the reason why people will buy her music.

The bold and eye-catching colour of the red, would stand out on a shop’s shelf causing people to pick it up and therefore buy it. Rihanna’s red hair and lips, portray Rihanna as a sexual object. Red is also associated with danger, illustrating Rihanna as a strong artist.

This image is from one of the songs on the album ‘only girl in the world’. The colour scheme stays the same across the digipak. The red roses symbolising love, which her song is about. Rihanna wears a light pink dress which stands out against the dark red and dark green rose bush.

The title ‘Loud’ is in sans serif capital font, the bold colour scheme illustrates this, also capital letters symbolise shouting. This all gives the true picture as being ‘Loud’.

Gnere-R&B/POP – this is obvious through Rihanna being portrayed in a ‘sexy’ image.

The bright colours in the pictures attract a young female audience. The light pink colour scheme illustrate the POP genre.

This image shows Katy Perry as provocative, she’s wearing no clothes however she is covered with the pink clouds. Even though her target audience is a young female audience her sexual image would target at men to listen to her music.

This image shows Katy dressed up as if she were a porn queen. She is wearing a crown illustrating she is the queen of POP. Katy Perry dressing up in a prom dress links with the title ‘teenage dream’ as every girl dreams of being prom queen.

The font is in capitals and is in red and blue. Every ‘O’ is replaced in each of song title with a ‘swirl’ this targets at a young audience and creates a girly tone to the untypical girly colours.
