Digital Connections Boot Camp
July 25-26, 2012 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Western Nebraska Community College
John N. Harms Advanced Technology Center
2620 College Park • Scottsbluff, NE
Who should attend this boot camp? Any teacher, K-16, who is looking for ways to integrate technology into
their professional lives and classrooms. Participants will be grouped by content area and grade level in order to
create a more customized experience. Presenters will focus on the International Society for Technology in
Education Standards for Teachers (ISTE NETS•T) which include:
Facilitating and Inspiring Student Learning and Creativity
Designing and Developing Digital-Age Learning Experiences
and Assessments
Modeling Digital-Age Work and Learning
Promoting and Modeling Digital Citizenship and
Responsibility
Engaging in Professional Growth and Leadership
Learn how to integrate Google Apps into your
daily routine to save time and energy. Explore how
to help students unleash their creative potential
using digital story telling tools such as
VoiceThread and Animoto. Experience the power
of connecting with teachers from around the world
using Twitter. This boot camp will give you the
confidence you need in order to take the plunge
into the world of educational technology.
Registration Fee: $70
Fee covers all sessions, breakfast, lunch, and snacks on both days of the boot camp. Computers will be
available as well, but you are welcome to bring your own. Registration is due by May 25. Participation will
be limited to 125. Register early to secure your slot.
*Working with CSC to get this event approved for credit. Check the website late in the spring for an update.

11:15-12:10 Lunch in the Plex
12:10-2:25 Session 2
2:25-2:40 Break and snack
2:40-3:40 Breakout Discussions
3:40-4:30 Web 2.0 Smackdown
Set up a Twitter account and get familiar with it.
Follow the presenters and let them know you are
attending the boot camp.
Visit the boot camp website frequently to connect
with other educators and stay on top of updates.
