Introduction• DigiLocker is a service launched by 

Government of India in February 2015.

• To provide a secure dedicated personal electronic space for storing the documents of resident Indian citizens.

• The storage space (maximum 1GB) is linked to the Aadhaar number of the user.

• The space can be utilized for storing personal documents like University certificates, PAN cards, voter id cards, etc.

• Minimize the use of physical documents.

• Ensure Authenticity of the e-documents and thereby eliminating usage of fake documents.

• • Make it easy for the residents to receive services.

• Anytime, anywhere access to the documents.

• Enable e-Signing of documents and make them available electronically and online.

• Digital locker can be access only if you have adhar card.

• Registration is only possible through onluy mobile no. and email link to adhar database.

• Digital Locker of each resident is linked to their Aadhaar number.

• 10MB of free space in the locker to securely store resident documents and store

• Facility to upload e-documents in a standard XML format in the digital locker

• Secure access to documents in repository or in digital locker
