1.Good use of inclusive language. Makes the readers welcome and feel included.2. Small “Starburst” so there is some to read but not too much. 3. Large title, but not at the top. It is effective in the middle of the left hand page.4.There are a lot of Pink and white squares that have been effectively used to fill the space.5. The page numbers are in the middle of the page rather than the side and are black so they don’t take away from the main image and text too much so it is therefore effective.

6. The editors have used a large image of the main subject of the article covering most of both of the pages.7 There has been repetition used “Selena Says” to make her appear to be a role model. Makes the audience/ readers believe that they should listen to what she says. Implies that it is important.8. Only one other image is used. It is small so does not draw attraction away from the main image. Close to this is the only piece of small text.

1. They have used a large image that covers one whole page and carries onto the other page just slightly. Uses up a lot of space and looks effective as you can easily see the artist.2. Contrasting images have been used. Could be to show 2 different sides to the artist. Allows the readers to make a justified opinion of the artist.3. When the “Questions” Appear in between the text they are highlighted in orange. This could be to highlight them. This also links to the title of the page. May be a running theme matching to the image on the left hand side of the page.

4. A small image of Jessie has been used. Possibly to back up the story within the double page spread.5. The first letter of the article is larger and in a different font, which matches to the font they have used to write her name. This is affective as it draws the readers eye to it amongst the image.6. Large and bright headline at the top of the page. Stands out, but not as much as the picture. This could be because the editors wanted the image to appear more important.7. They have used the words “Fun Fearless Female” to describe her. Gives the audience some background. It is in black font and only small but noticeable.8. They have put her name in a “swirly” font and draws the readers eye towards the title.
