Did the event meet your expectations? Why or why not?

• Wish the event would have been a longer time period - the contest is half day or even a full day where teams can

utilize more resources to construct more elaborate content as part of the challenge. Also, perhaps team could be

constructed that have different people with different strengths so that everyone in the group has something new

to learn in the process of making the challenge content. So team members will likely be from different division but

this way team will be composed of a wide variety of participants with all skill and experience levels. Very good

event! I think we can take this even further if we want it too. The next time around teams can know the topic but

cannot place anything on the D2L challenge sites until the event officially starts - we had a few teams who had

constructed some content on the site prior to the challenge. Need a more even playing field in this regard.

• Yes! It was a fun and challenging experience.

• Absolutely and there is lots more I need to learn!!

• Yes, and it exceeded them - it was awesome to participate and have that dedicated space and time for productive collaboration!

• Yes. This event exceeded my expectations. It was well attended, the entire campus was represented, and it was fun.

• I just stopped in to see what it was about, it was interesting except I thought that all the work had to be done during the 30 min block and it seemed like some teams had worked on things in advance.

• I would recommend that you give more time for preparation of materials.

• Yes. I was looking forward to some learning fun and the event delivered.

What suggestions do you have to improve any future Drab to Fab events?

lots and lots of boots and pants

figure out the camera and microphone issues for participants online. Maybe view all the

final projects from one computer using a webex so all can continue to participate.

Way to see how the ratings in rubric were done post game.

Know up front you are preparing one lesson, not an entire semester.

More participating teams (encouragement from division directors might help here)

Make it more competitive.

A take home or online version may encourage more to participate it's hard to find two solid

hours in a week for an optional activity.

None- it was great

Accessibility checks. I think our focus on accessibility is one of the many things that sets us

apart from other schools who aren't as committed.

Give the participants more time to design. One hour isn't enough for most busy faculty

Put it before spring break, as projects and heavier commitments occur after spring break.

Not allow any work to be done ahead of time.
