Revive Me
Again!!! Hello everyone.
It’s 2012.
The following poem is my all time favorite.
I hope you enjoy it and take it to heart.
MYSELF
I have to live with myself and so
I want to be fit for myself to know.
I want to be able as days go by,
always to look myself straight in the
eye;
I don't want to stand with the setting
sun
and hate myself for the things I have
done.
I don't want to keep on a closet shelf
a lot of secrets about myself
and fool myself as I come and go
into thinking no one else will ever
know
the kind of person I really am,
I don't want to dress up myself in
sham.

“Celebrating the Life”
“Living the Legacy”
I want to go out with my head erect
I want to deserve all men's respect;
but here in the struggle for fame and
wealth
I want to be able to like myself.
I don't want to look at myself and
know
that I am bluster and bluff and empty
show.
I never can hide myself from me;
I see what others may never see;
I know what others may never know,
I never can fool myself and so,
whatever happens I want to be
self respecting and conscience free.
By Edgar A. Guest
You can fool others but you always
know the truth. Make your truth
something you can be proud of. Like
Michael Jackson said so well-”I’m
Starting with the Man (woman, boy,
girl) in the mirror”. Start today!!

LIFT YOUR VOICE AND VOTE (Maryellen Martin)
Happy New Year Friends and Supporters of Ed’s World!. This is a presidential elec-
tion year. Although the election is still 10 months away we must begin to pay atten-
tion to what is being done and said during the current debates taking place. We
also celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 16th. Let us re-
member his legacy and contributions as he fought for freedom, racial equality, jus-
tice and peace. He endured many difficulties with the hope of bringing
people together in unity. Let’s continue the legacy. Lift your voice and
your vote. Save the date, November 4, 2012. Show up and exercise
your right. Lift up your voice and vote, till earth and heaven ring.

WRITE THE
VISION
And the Lord answered
me, and said, Write the
vision, and make it plain
upon the tables, that he
may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for
an appointed time, but at
the end it shall speak, and
not lie; though it tarry,
wait for it; because it will
surely come….

The Three “R’s” by Erykah Tillis (4th grade)
The first “R” is for reuse. Reusing is very helpful and important to
planet earth. Reuse means to use something over and over again
We should do this because it is a non-renewable resource and one
day it will all be gone if we don’t take care of it. We should use our
resources wisely and if everyone pitches in around the world it will
be very easy.
The next “R” stands for reduce. Reduce means to use less of
something. Like you can use less gasoline by walking or riding your
bike instead of using your car or taking the bus. For example every
time I go to my aunts house, she tells me to reduce electricity use
by turning off the lights when I am not using them.
The third “R” stands for recycle. Recycle means to take plastic,
minerals, paper and other materials and re-use them over. This
helps us to save nature around us.
If everyone would use the three “R’s” the whole world would be a
better place. Also encourage others to use the three “R’s”.
