eduBuzz: The Header Image Your eduBuzz blog will look so much better with your own header image at the top of the page. Not all themes allow you to do this, so you need to choose one which does. The Contempt theme works well for this: Once you've selected your theme you should now see a Custom Image Header link under the design tab: As you are going to upload your own image, you will most likely want to remove the text which is there automatically. Click Hide Text to do this: You now have the option to upload your header image. It will tell you how big your image needs to be. This is important as you'll have to make your image the right size. For the Contempt theme the image needs to be 750 pixels wide by 140 pixels tall.

Your eduBuzz blog will look so much better with your own header image at the top of the page. Not all themes allow you to do this, so you need to choose one which does. The Contempt theme works well for this:

Once you've selected your theme you should now see a Custom Image Header link under the design tab:

To make your header image, there are a couple of options. For the the Ross High Biology site, I used Picnik. This is a free online tool which can be used to make images really easily and download them. It's really easy to use, but doesn't let you do everything you might want to so the end product can be quite simple:

For more advanced features, such as image gradient, you can use Photoshop. This is installed on most PC's in the school I think. I used this to create the sharing good practice blog as I wanted the picture to fade in and out:

Either way, you can find a copy of the school logo to use online here.

I can't really write a guide for using picnik and photoshop! So, if you'd like some help with thes applications, give me a shout.

Once you've completed your header image, you can now upload it to your blog.
