With schools offering much more than the prescribed syllabus, children today are exposed to a variety of all round development activity that nurtures their interests and hobbies, giving them an added advantage and helping them develop in areas of their interests. Special Institutes in India are lagging behind when it comes to building the character of the child and providing of other social skills and hobbies. Education for Autistic children in India and major cities like Mumbai are opening up to new education methods that cater specially to the development and support of autistic individuals. With the number of autistic individuals increasing, it is the need of the day for more institutions that cater to the education of Autistic children. According to Statistics by CDC, one in every 88 children today is born with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) against a ratio of one in 110 few years back. With parents failing to notice the early symptoms it becomes hard for the child to cope with regular education in schools. All parents should be educated and trained to identify early signs of Autism and learn to create the home environment for the child as they grow up. Specialized Autism training to the parents can also help in great measures to help the child reach their full potential, both personally and socially. Autism is an incurable disease that can restricts the individual to live a socially fulfilling life but with the right support from an early age and from the parents and family members, an autistic individual can achieve many goals in the course of their lives.
