“How Career and Technical Education can Jumpstart a New Industry” Kaplan has been working with the Chinese

government for years trying to create customized training programs. In November 2006, the campus developed a training program for Chinese security. It was developed for credit education programs beginning at the high school level. The goal is to produce graduates ready for the entry level of employment the following summer. After training students are showing great business ethics.

“How Career and Technical Education can Jumpstart a New Industry” I believe that this program is a

positive thing, and will help the community that these graduates plan on getting a career in. I like the idea of this program. We kind of had something like it in my high school. It is where the students can get training to jumpstart their career.

“Locating Social Justice in Career Education” Career education is an under

reserched curriculum area in today’s society. This article is about a small-scale qualitative study consisting of an interview with a secondary school teacher from New Zealand. It explores how social justice is understood and located with in this setting. It gives the reader a chance to critically reflect on their own thoughts over the topic.

“Locating Social Justice in Career Education” The findings highlight the confusion of

the definition of career, and how social justice is understood. I think that all student of elementary education should read this article because it helps to be able to understand how serious career education is being taken before you get into the field. I found this article to be helpful as well as interesting.

“Providing instruction to students with special needs in inclusive classrooms inGhana: Issues and challenges” This is a study to examine the practices of

teachers in Ghana. There were 37 teacher from 20 schools in two different districts that participated I this study. They all had background checks, and were observed during their classroom instruction time. The results are that teachers use fewer instructional techniques when dealing with children who have special needs.

In my opinion the background checks should have been better. These teachers are supposed to be the best teachers in Ghana. It doesn’t sound like they are very good. Teachers need to be exposed to student with disabilities to get used to having to change their teaching habits. I cannot wait until I am a teacher.
