EDUCATION IN THE PAST:

Playgrounds:
My three facts:
• There were no cafeterias or hot lunches.
• There were hardly any playgrounds so they played marbles or jump rope most of the time.
• And there were no playground equipment to play with.
Library:
My three facts:
• The library had lots of books but had no computers.
• There were not aloud to use the library until grade three.
• The library’s were small but had loads of books.
Number of students in class
• There were twenty to thirty students in each class room.
• Sometimes they had to spilt classes.
• Students with higher grades went to another grade and the students with lower grades went to another.
• There were only aloud 25 children per class or lower.
What was studied?
• They get to pick which English/reading class they wanted to be in.
• They had to learn how to spell their words correctly or they would have to write it out 5 or 10 times.
• They had no gym, so they had to do phy.Ed outside.
School rules
• They were not aloud to talk to there neighbour and had to be respectful to there teachers.
• The teacher were aloud to hit the kids in the knuckles with a ruler if you misbehave.
• The principal was aloud to hit you with his belt if you misbehaved.
Was there anything else that was different?
• When school started, the teacher started the day of with a prayer and read out of the bible.
• They only had 1 computer foe the whole school.
• Their were no school buses so you had to walk, get dropped of or ride horses to school.
