Summary

My project will open the eyes of people who think it wont matter if there's no more exotic or extraordinary animals left in the world. It will also shed a new a light on the subject and show every one what its about and how it can be stopped.

Cause

People who don’t care about the animals and just keep hunting them, not really noticing that its their fault that the animal is going extinct.

Page 4: Endangered animals Dahnae

Effect

If all endangered animals die off children of the future will never see them. The problem occurs when people get money hungry and poach the animals for their hide or natural resources.

Poacher’s point of view

Meet Waitimu which means born of the spear, he is a wildlife hunter in Africa. He poaches because it makes good money and he has to feed his family. There is little work in his village so he has to do what he has to do.

Solution

Bans on harmful chemicals and lead shot; captive breeding programs; ecotourism to promote people's awareness of living animals; controls on noise pollution, limits on over-fishing and over-hunting; limits on exotic pet collecting; protection of habitats from overdevelopment and misuse, protection of food supplies, creation of reserves.

My Solution

My solution to endangered species is people need to take a brake on hunting them and give them some time to repopulate.

Timeline

• 1977-First plant species are listed as endangered, San Clemente Island broom

• 1979 Endangered Species Committee meets in January

• 1979 In September, Congress passes an appropriations bill

• 1981 Black-footed ferrets rediscovered near Meeteetse, Wyoming, ending fear that the species was extinct.

Personal Connection

This affects me because I love animals and I HATE to see them die in vain. And animals have no defense against humans with guns except woods for cover. So if you think about it people are murdering defenseless animals.

Page 11: Endangered animals Dahnae

Impact people

This issue doesn't have much impact on people, except people of the future wont be able to see the animals extinct. And people who love animals will miss them.

Aid Organizations

Species Survival Plan (SSP) programs have helped bring several endangered species back from the brink, including black-footed ferrets, California condors and red wolves.

ConclusionMy project conclusion is you’ve seen both sides of the story. Why the hunter hunted and why the animal is endangered. You’ve seen the solution to it all and yet people still do it because they fail to listen and under stand the concept.
