Adverbs It is a word that modifies a
verb, adjective, another adverb or sentences.
Adverb of Time It tells “when” the action
happened?Example:The competition started
yesterday.The flight lasted for 10 hours.
Conjunctive Adverb It is a type of adverb that
connects two independent clauses
Usually to show cause-effect, sequence or contrast-comparison relationships
Conjunctive Adverb If conjunctive adverb is used,
the two independent clauses MUST be separated using a semi-colon

Comparison of Adverbs
Positive (one object) Comparative (two objects) (add
–er or add the word more or less)
Superlative (three or more objects) (add –est or add the word most/best or least/worst)
