Unlike other people in my class who are doing music video my equipment list will be a bit different as I have to worry about sound in my video as they don’t because they have song to go over the top. Equipment 1 Canon 700d The first pieces of equipment is a Cannon 700d which will be what my whole movie will be shot on. This camera is a good choses as it allows me to film in 24 Frames per Second which is industry standard for a movie. Also the camera offers easy focuses feature if they be manual or Auto meaning I can change focuses quickly creating a professional look. 2 Rode videomic pro +Tascam DR-05 After doing a lot of research online it told me that I should not uses the on board camera mic as it would not give a clear sound and also would pick up to much background noise meaning the audience would get distracted away from the visuals or dialogue. So I decided to uses an external microphone and plug that through my camera and uses it that way, but I still found my sound to be very hissy. Whilst visiting the University of Falmouth I got the opportunity there to speak to some of their camera technicians and I asked them how I could improve the sound. They said I should uses an external microphone but not plug into the camera but uses an external recording devises and sync up the audio in post-production 3 Clap board I will be using a clap board to help with the post production process. The clap board will be used at the beginning of every take. This will provide a noise and movement making it easier for me to sync the visual and audio together in post. 4 After effects After watching many different tutorials on how to apply special effects to a movie I found that After effects was the best software to use. It allows me to add special effects like Muzzle Flashes and CGI blood. Also it provides me with Mocha Tracking which allows me to perform planar tracking which I will need to use in my film to chance the screen of a computer to one I will create in Photoshop. 5 Premier pro After doing some research I found that premier pro would be the best program to use to edit my movie together in post-production. The software allows me to add many different effects which should make my movie professorial at the end. 6 Audition In post-production I will be using audition to add sound effects and music to my movie. Audition allows me to edit reverb and equalizer meaning I can make the sound effects and music fit the environment. 7 Photoshop I will be using Photoshop to create a computer screen which will show the helper of the movie tracking the position of villain for the hero. Photoshop allows easy photo editing and also the ability to add many different levels together. 8 Story plus I will be using adobe story to write my script for my actors. Adobe story allows me to make a professional script 9 Spider steady As I want my audience to feel engaged in the action I will be using handheld shots to film my movie. By using the spider steady it gives me the ability to perform smooth handheld shots but also create documentary style shots which can be a bit shaky.
