Definition of bullying
Bullying is when a person or a team hurt someone with:-teasing;-name calling;-spreading rumors;-whispering
Differences between bullying and cyberbullying
Bullying:-at school-a public area-home-personal space-just the day at school or at the moment in the street
Cyber bullying in internet or SMS:-using internet or mobile phone;-Invades home;-24/24 everytime on facebook or SMS
Consequences of bullying and cyber bullying
• Lose self-esteem• Self confindence• Sense of security• Depression, anxiety, nervousness• Health problems• Suicide• Causes a life long affect to the victim
Statistics and facts on cyber bullying• Nearly 43% of kids have been
bullied online• 70% of students report seeing
frequent bullying online• Over 80% of teens use a cell phone
regularly, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying
• 68% of teens agree that Cyber bullying is a serious problem.
• 90% of teens who have seen social-bullying say they have ignored it.
What must you do?• Tell a trusted adult if you’re being cyberbullied.• If you know someone who’s being a cyberbully tell her/him to
knock it off, it they don’t report it.• Don’t respond to rude messages.• If someone angers you, wait, don’t fire off a rude comeback.• Don’t share personal information online.• Protect your username and password.• Don’t open anything from someone you don’t know.• Keep privacy settings on your computer.• Choose your friends wisely.• Don’t post anything online that you wouldn’t mind your
parents seeing.
