Evaluation 7: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you

have learnt in the progression from it to full product.

Looking back at my preliminary task compared to my final piece I can happily say that my skills have strongly improved throughout my work. As far as my camera skills have improved I can say that they have become stronger. If you look at the images used in the prelim you can see that there wasn’t much thought put into the images and that it was just a quick shot. But in the final piece you can see that I have put much more thought into the costumes and the props and the lighting. Taking these things into account makes the quality of the imaging look so much better and more professional.

The overall design of my preliminary work compared to my final piece is completely different. I feel that in my preliminary I had no idea hoe to design a contents page to save my life. But then with a bit of inspiration from some other magazines I managed to produce a professionally looking contents page which looks petty good compared to the poor standard of design on my preliminary contents. The design between my preliminary front cover and my final front cover was also very different. When it came to my final piece I decided to go much more simpler to make the whole design look much nicer and simpler.

Also the precision in my preliminary compared to my final piece was also a lot better. I feel this because my accuracy of where everything is placed on my magazine and where things are placed in the images is much more accurate compared to how it was in the preliminary piece. I took a lot more care and time over my final piece which helped me in making my final piece more precise. Overall, I would say that all of my skills throughout the design and completion of the work have become much more advanced.
