Later on the recommendati on of Char les L indbergh i t was used by Transconti nenta l A i r Transport ( later TWA) as the i r fi rst base in St . Lou is . Dur ing Wor ld War Two, the Army A ir Corps commandeered i t and moved the Parks Col lege A i r Cadet Program there. S ince then the hangar has housed many d iff erent av iati on bus inesses inc luding an a i rcraft st r ipp ing and pa inti ng fac i l i ty. Now the hangar i s home to the Greater St . Louis A i r & Space Museum (GSLASM.)
