The illustration itself is simple and set in black and white which show that there is a high chance of the guide being targeted at a older audience. The guide itself doesn’t include a lot of text but for the small amount of text that it includes that have chosen to use a bold font which makes it stand out next to the illustrations. The over all the guide doesn’t include a sense of clarity due to the poor quality of the diagrams and more importantly the text isn't able to be read because of the font type but mainly because the fonts size is small it has lowered the fonts quality.

Even though the images and the font is low quality the overall guide has conciseness and because the text that has been included in the illustration are small, clear and accurate amounts which help avoid ambiguity. This leaflet doesn’t really include any bias supports as it is a simple ‘how to’ guide and because of it being a how to guide the facts that are included are highly likely to be used in other similar materials to this guide. This diagram is most likely to be featured in products like mens magazines or leaflets as the illustrations include a image of man so stereotypically the product is expected to be shown in some kind of media/ advertising material that would be targeted for a male audience.

Due to it been a simple illustration I don’t think that there would be any legal issues but there is a small chance the legal issues that may come up with this illustration is that there is a slight health and safety issues that may be caused due to the instructions not being completely clear on the amount of how tight they should be tightening the tie which may cause some danger concerns. The codes of practise that it may be affected in illustration may be sexism as in the illustration you can only see a male model but in the modern day both sexes are known to wear ties so this may cause some controversy

This illustration is set out clearly and in a professional standard. By using the bright colours for the main heading which allows it to stand out and grab the audiences attention, also by using bright colours for all the detailing on the leaflet which makes the leaflet stand out eye catching. The overall layout of the design is simple, the leaflet it self only contains a small amount of text that is able to get across the main information that is needed to brought across. Because the leaflet is from NHS the audience will be believe that the information/ fact that are included in the leaflet will accurate due to the NHS being a big company people are more likely to not question the information presented by the NHS.

The leaflet is aimed mainly for adults as the text contains formal language which children may not understand. When you look at the over all look of the leaflet looks like it could be aimed at children as well but the text content is more complex but teenagers may be able to understand the information more. The leaflet includes information stating the health services that you are able to access so the over all topic of the leaflet would not attract the attention of a younger audience. The leaflet doesn’t include any referencing due to the information being based on the companies own facts.

The set out of the leaflet is busy and full of information. The leaflet has been created to inform the public about animal abuse and what the animals in food farms go through. The leaflet has been set out with a majority of text and a small amount of images and all of the features of the leaflet have been set out clearly but because of the large amount of information included on the leaflet makes the leaflet look busy.

The information that is included in the leaflet is referenced from the organisation Captured Animal Protection society therefore the facts that are featured in the leaflet are accurate. Because the leaflet includes formal language it would be more appropriate for a adult/teenage audience as they would be able to appreciate the information more.

The colours that have been used on the leaflet makes the features stand out and the colour contrast. Because the leaflet includes images that may come across as harsh material for some so there might be some drop of the amount of audience.

Codes of practice:Anyone who is cruel to an animal, or does not provide for its welfare needs, may be banned from owning animals, fined up to £20,000 and/or sent to prison. The Animal Welfare Act 2006 contains the general laws relating to animal welfare. It is an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to any animal. Unlike previous legislation, the Act applies to all animals on common land. The Act contains a Duty of Care to animals - this means that anyone responsible for an animal must take reasonable steps to make sure the animal’s needs are met. This means that a person has to look after an animal’s welfare as well as ensure that it does not suffer and apply to all animals.https://www.gov.uk/animal-welfare
