A set of words will come onto the screen and you will need to identify them. You will hold up a colored card to show that you know which one is which.
Personification = Pink
Idiom = Indigo
Alliteration= Yellow
Simile= Spring Blue
Metaphor= Lime Green
Onomatopoeia= Orange
Lucy let the cat out of the bag when she told everyone the secret.
Students who spend more time studying will succeed.
Crash! The sound from the garage told me that trouble was on its way.
Her tears were like a waterfall as she sobbed her bad news.
The flower stretched out its leaves and welcomed the sunshine with open arms.
The child moved like a turtle as she prepared to leave for the dentist.

The argument was a rain cloud darkening my day.
I have to hit the road if I am going to get there on time.

For the next few slides, we are going to be reviewing Synonym, Antonym, and Homophone. You may whisper the answer to the question asked when you know it.
