IntroductionWe used the shot of the bubbles on

Millennium Bridge, Embankment. We decided to slow it down and edit it in black and white. This is because the beat of the song is relatively slow and therefore fits the mood.

We received positive feedback for this and decided this will remain at the beginning of the music video.

Covent Garden shotThis shot was used to feel the gap due to not

enough footage, we were told this was boring and to some extent, as a group, we can agree that this isn't effective and once we have re-shot some footage we can hopefully cut this out and fill the gap with something that relates to our target audience more.

First shot of KayleighThis is an establishing shot of Kayleigh

singing which determines to the audience who the main singer is. This straight away begins to build the relationship between the star and the singer.

We plan to keep this shot as its fits the mood of our music video regarding the costume and location.

Close upWe then edited the video for the long shot to

be followed by a close up. This is a fast change between the two and shows the diversity of the character.

This represents contrast between the different locations and costume.

We received positive feedback for this shot and should remain in our next cut.

LocationsThis location is effective as the patterned top

matches the colours on the wall behind her. This location should remain in our video, however not as much as we have limited footage for this location.

Candyfloss/Bridge ShotsThese shots are referred back to on a number of

occasions, however, we do plan to cut some footage out to give us the time to replace it with new clips recently shot at Westfield, Stratford City.

After receiving some feedback from fellow colleagues we discovered that some of our ‘Candyfloss’ footage did not look professional and was recommended that it should be cut out. This will be taken into consideration when re-editing our second cut.

Extreme Close UpAlthough this seemed like a good idea in the

planning process, we have decided this ‘lip’ footage must be cut entirely. The lips are not central; Kayleigh’s hair and nose is in the shot and the filming is shakey.

“Selfie Shots”We decided this footage was effective and

after also receiving positive feedback, this footage will remain.

The idea of Kayleigh filming herself works well as it fits the conventions of a pop music video and young girls can relate to this idea.

Bike/Skateboard ShotsAfter completing the editing process we

noticed how unprofessional the skateboard shots looked and don’t plan to have as many in our final cut.

The bike shots are effective and fit the beat of our chosen song.

EndingAfter receiving negative feedback on

Kayleigh’s ‘cheesy grin’ at the end of our first cut, we have recently filmed new footage to fill this gap to enable our music video to not look as cliché.

Titles and CreditsWe did not include these in our first cut and

therefore must remember to do this for the next time we re-edit.
