Attendance Policy

• Mississippi’s law requires students to attend 63% of the instructional day in order to be considered present.

• Students may miss no more than 11 days in a full credit course and 6 days in a semester course.

Page 4: First Day of School adg

Attendance Policy (Continued)

• District’s policy states that it is my responsibility to address, with consequences, the first 3 tardies to my class;

• On the fourth tardy, and each one thereafter, the student is referred to administration for more severe consequences, including corporal punishment, in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension, and parent/guardian contact;

• Personally, I want you to learn more than I have to offer; but you must be present to achieve it!!!!!!
