Early Life Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón was born on July 6, 1907, in Coyoacan, Mexico. His father, Guillermo (1871-1941) was a photographer; he built La Casa Azul (the blue house) where Frida and her family lived. Her mother Matilde, died when her daughter Margarita (Kahlos's sister) was born; she had descendants of Roman Catholics and Amerindian.

Childhood  In her childhood she suffered

from diseases. She and her family battle much in this aspect. She remembered correctly each of her sicknesses because she drew about her life in her pictures. 

In 1992, Kahlo was enrolled in the Escuela Nacional Preparatoria. 

She lived in her parents' house known as La Casa Azul

Adulthood  She studied German

and English. She aspired to study medicine in the future (in her class there was only 35 women).

In 1925, she took drawing classes at the school of Fernando Fernandez Dominguez, copying pictures of Anders Zorn.

She married a Mexican painter named Diego Rivera, whose work she admired. She ask him for help about how to draw like him.She didn't have children, and also she was bisexual.

Hometown/Country

Kahlo's life began and ended in Mexico. She lived always in her house. She needed to be in the city because she constantly was going to the doctor. In Mexico, she always was respected by everyone because  she was a very important woman.

Becoming Famous After her accident, she started to

paint herself. Perhaps she hated herself or wanted to hide. She painted because she was paralyzed and she needed something to do. Her

paintings are very famous. In my opinion she is one of the best painters in the world and for me she is a hero because she represents us Mexican women.

Later Life

She died in Coyoacan, Mexico,the same place where she was born. She died on July 13, 1954.  Frida died of pneumonia, but before that she had her right leg amputated. Now, you can go to Kahlo's house, because it's a museum known as La Casa Azul located in Mexico. Frida and her husband, Diego Rivera are famous by their paintings because are a good and amazon pictures.

Something Interesting When Frida Kahlo was a young lady, she had an accident.

On September 17, 1925 she was traveling by bus when she broke her spinal column and her pelvis. After that, she couldn't  have children because a light pole perforated. Just she said that is the worst way to lose her virginity. It caused Frida to be paralyzed for a while. Her accident was something that changed her life. She began to paint when she was in bed. Her accident was horrible.
