How would you describe the quality of the front page bearing in mind the institution and age of the students who produced it (12-14 years). Describe the tone? Is it appropriate?

G – How would you classify the genre of this magazine based on the front page? Does this look like a typical school magazine? How is the theme of the magazine depicted/illustrated?

R – How are the school and students represented on the front page? How is the feature band represented? What shot type has been used? Has the image been manipulated in any way? How?

A – Who would this magazine appeal to and why? Is there any potential for Fandom? How do you think the audience responded to this front page? What alterations would you make in order to make this page more appealing/aesthetically pleasing to the intended audience?

I – What ideological impression does this page give about the school – what messages and values are conveyed by the words and images? E.g. what does promoting an up and coming band suggest? What impression was the branding (name, colour scheme, layout, font etc) intended to give? Consider connotations and denotations.

N – How effective is the layout, font style, size etc? Is the text/language appropriate? Does the text anchor the image? Is the theme anchored through the design?
