GAMEPLAY AND LUDOLOGY
GAME 1:RACE TO COLLEGE
This is a simple board game for 2-3 players. The aim of the game is to get to college first with the best timing
Players have a choice of 3 routes:Walking, cycling or taking the bus
Each player starts at 9.00 and has to reach a lecture
by 10.00.However there are places on the board that
take up your time if you land on them , Like:
GAME 2: PENS AT THE READY
This is also a simple game, but
very competitive and can
include any number of players
This game occurs in rounds. Round one is relatively easy.
E.g. 10 seconds to write the Alphabet
And gradually gets
harder. Sometimes
you may even be
asked to draw a line
drawing like this:
Players are lost at each round. The
last two players are given a writing
and drawing task to do and the player
who finishes first is the:
GAME 3: THE FAB QUIZ
This is the film and
broadcasting quiz. It has
three rounds
2 teams go
head to
head.
Team with
most points
at the end
WINS!!Round 1:
The movie trivia round…E.g.
How many Oscars did Walt Disney
win?
22
Round 2:
A guess the movie from these lines round:
“….You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a
bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf
pack”
“Have you ever wondered if there was more to life,
other than being really, really, ridiculously good
looking?”
Round 3:
This is the guess the TV character round
I’m a very opinionated person , My
parents recent split has meant I’ve
been placed in a world I’m not
familiar with, I’m often found
questioning my friends sanity, school
and exams are important to me but I
crack under pressure, I also have no
real luck with girls and to top it all off,
“I can’t use the phone, my arms
don’t work and my hands are
sausages”. Who am I?
GAME 4: 10 STEPS
Another board game.
The goal here is to
reach the top step first.
The game can be for 2-6
players.
And this is how it works:
1. Roll the dice
2. Answer a
question
or
3.Perform a small
task
4.Then move that number
(If you get the question right or perform the task
correctly)
However if you roll a six then you get a six card.
These are bad cards……they can make you miss a
turn or go back steps etc.
But if you roll a one you get a one card….these
are good cards….they can allow you to skip a
question or go ahead steps etc.
One cards can be gotten and six card can be
avoided by getting the question or the task
right.
GAME 5: FACEBOOK FRIENDS
Like, poke
or
decline?
This is a game for
helping to make new
friends
For this you need 2-4
volunteers
The participants need to give
reasons why we would like to have
them as friends by giving information
about themselves (real or made up)
E.g. I’m kind, friendly, funny etc.
Participants need to give reasons why
we should poke them (i.e. What can
they offer us as friends)
E.g. “ I know Danny from the script
and can get us into gigs for free”
Each member of the audience picks their own
personal favourite and will
Their friend request
But will
The other
participants
The person with the most confirmations at
the end wins
