Gary Guion: The University of Texas at Austin McCombs
School of Business’ Management Information
Systems Program
For over a decade, Gary Guion has performed as the managing partner with GGFH Holdings, Inc., where he supervises its operations and oversees financial and budgetary matters.
Earlier, Mr. Guion attended The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and obtained the Kimberly-Clark Management Information Systems (MIS) 333K Scholarship.
In recognition of today’s increasingly digital world, The University of Texas at Austin
McCombs School of Business offers an MIS program. In it, students learn about different aspects of information technology, business
practices, functional disciplines, and computer applications. U.S. News & World Report ranks the school’s MIS department as the third best
in the country.
Individuals who enroll in this program receive an education into the myriad of elements that
constitute this field. They learn managerial skills, such as communication, project
management, and group work. Teachers enlighten them on business and MIS theories,
such as those related to database management, electronic business, and systems analysis. Other topics include
information technology architecture and infrastructure and software and programming
languages with a focus on the changing nature of technology.
