WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ALREADY!

• Know about different types of drugs: performance enhancing (anabolic steroids, beta blockers, diuretics, narcotic analgesics, stimulants, peptide hormones).

• What performance-enhancing drugs are (PEDs) and their positive and negative effects on sporting performance and performer lifestyle.

PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DRUGS

What are they?• Drugs that enhance performance in physical activity or daily life

• Range from Socially acceptable to Illegal

Why take them?• Enhance or improve there performance

• Become better at there sport so more likely to win

• Winning=Money

• Becoming professional/famous quickly so earn enough money
