Concepts of Gender Based Violence
According to CEDAW- gender based violence can be defined as “violence that is directed against a woman because she is a woman or that affects women disproportionately”.
According to UNFPA “Gender based violence undermines the health, dignity, security and autonomy of its victims, yet it remains shrouded in a culture of silence.
