In many of the horror teasers I have seen the story is focused on/ around a family or in other cases a lone girl after the rest of the

group she was with have been killed or disappeared.

The setting of horrors tends to be in a secluded house within a wood or in more

recent horror films a suburban area.

Iconography

Iconic of horror films has become a horror house, masked antagonists and mad men with knives and axes as murder weapons.

The narrative of horrors tends to be of a group of people getting

lost in a wood and coming across a house in which people in the group begin to go missing/ get murdered. Alternatively in other

horrors families tend to move into a house were mysterious happenings occur such as

members of the family being controlled by some evil ghostly

creature.
